INDIANAPOLIS, IND. (June 3, 2010) --- It's been a tough economy for freelance writers of all stripes, but the Irvington Writers Studios team -- Barbara E. Cohen and Gary Wollenhaupt -- is keeping afloat with long-term creative projects and by exploring new venues.

"We're going to weather the lean times and be ready to help our clients as the economy improves," says Wollenhaupt, whose is assisting clients such as Wax Communications and Networld Alliance to tighten their belts by delivering catchy copy on time and under budget.

Despite the tough times in the media industry, the team's focus remains on Irvington Writers Studio as a company that delivers high-quality text for magazines, custom publishers, and corporate clients.

"Thankfully, we have many loyal clients still in business who continue to use our services," says Cohen. "We're pleased to find they continue to call us even as the competition for assignments increases."

This summer Cohen is indexing a catalogue of the art of Asher B. Durand, of the Hudson River School, for the first exhibition of the painter's work in Madrid later this year. A second indexing project is for a catalogue for an exhibition on tipis and other Plains Indian art scheduled to open at The Brooklyn Museum next winter.

Irvington Writers Studio, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Ashland, Ky., remains committed to offering the best writing for a wide range of clients on schedule and at a reasonable price.

"Despite our sadness over the loss of so many clients in the last year, we aren't deterred from the challenge of freelancing," says Wollenhaupt. "We are looking to the future and concentrating on projects on the horizon."
